Sierras #3

$0.00

2023

Size: 36” x 18”
Palette: Black, gray, silver
Media: Acrylic-tinted methyl-cellulose paste on paper, mounted on wood board, and finished with high-gloss resin.

The Story: With its monochromatic neutral palette and repeating patterns, “Sierras” creates a sense of expansiveness. This work is made from paper, which was painted with a loose organic strié pattern. The painted paper was torn into smaller pieces, rearranged, and then collaged onto a wood panel. Beads of metallic silver emphasize the irregular edges of the torn paper and create pathways through the piece. High-gloss resin is the finishing touch, augmenting the work by creating a heightened sense of dimensionality and vibrance.

$2075

**Difficult to capture in a photo: The face of the piece is smooth and glossy.
